H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, yesterday opened the 24th Dubai International Boat Show at the Dubai International Marine Club at Mina Seyahi.
He toured the show where some 900 exhibitors, including from the UAE, are showcasing everything from super yachts and speed boats to jet skis and quad skis.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the national companies participating in the five-day show for their ability to compete with global manufacturers in terms of design, luxury and safety, thanks to the country's national technological capabilities and creative human resources.
He noted that the UAE is a maritime nation and its people are known to be skilled seafarers.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Helal Saeed Almarri. CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre, organisers of the event, and Saeed Mohammed Hareb, member of the board of Dubai International Marine Club, and others.
