Minister of Human Rights and Social Development, cum Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balushi, received today (Thurs. 9 Feb. 2012) members of the House of Representatives led by Hassan Al-Dossary, in the presence of Ms. Latifa Al-Qa'ood, Abdulhaleem Murad, Hassan Bukhammas, Ali Zayed and Ebtissam Hijris in the Ministry's buildings. Dr. Al-Balushi welcomed the members of parliament, praising their role in supporting ongoing democratization in the Kingdom of Bahrain and their effective participation and legislative blueprints. The Minister reviewed with the MPs accomplishments achieved over the past year and the Ministry's plan for various development projects for this year and the expansion of the umbrella of social security in order to consolidates social cohesion as well as the provision of quality services through the Ministry's centers. The Minister accentuated the Ministry's readiness for compilation of the comprehensive human rights report due to be presented to the Human Rights Council in Geneva. On the other hand, the MPs praised the efforts of the Ministry of Human Rights and Social Development and development in in all walks of life and the Ministry's keenness on shouldering its national responsibility in providing the best services and welfare to Bahraini citizens in order to ensure their stability and growth. The MPs also asserted the significance of boosting constant cooperation and communication between the executive and the legislative authorities in order to achieve the sought goals. The meeting was attended by the the Undersecretary for Social Development Ms. Hanan Kamal, the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development Mrs. Badriya Al-Jeeb and the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development Khalid Ishaq.
