Djibouti Defense Minister Hassan Dharar Hufane, arrived in Cairo on Tuesday morning coming from Ethiopia leading a delegation from his country.
Upon his arrival, Hufane headed for Sharm el Sheikh to participate in the fifth defense-ministers meeting of the Community of Sahel-Sahara States, that kicked off earlier in the day.
The meeting, to last until March 25, will be attended by defense ministers and senior officials of 27 countries.
The participants will discuss restructuring the community and its mechanism in order to promote joint military, security and economic abilities.
The meeting will also tackle joint cooperation to combat terrorism, extremism and crime in the region.
