Coptic pope receives more Eastern Christmas greeters

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese received Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby at the papal HQ in the St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbassiya on Thursday.

Araby extended his greetings to the pope over Eastern Christmas, which falls today.

The head of the Coptic Orthodox Church also received today on the occasion Military Production Minister Mohamed el Assar, Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby and President of the International Union for Intercultural and Interfaith Dialogue and Peace Education Aly el Samman.

The greeters also included a delegation from the Catholic Center for Cinema led by its director Father Botros Daniel, Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Egypt Bishop Ashod Mnatsaganian, Greek Orthodox Bishop Nicolas of Tanta and Evangelical pastor Reverent Tharwat Qades.

The pope also received head of the Supreme Council of Sufi Orders Abdel Hadi el Qasaby, former industry minister Ibrahim Fawzy, former president of Alexandria University Mohamed Abdellah, former petroleum minister Osama Kamal and former Qalubiya governor Adly Hussein.
