Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday honored ten renowned Arab figures including former United Nations secretary-general Boutros Boutros Ghali and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Presidency al-Tayeb Abdul Rahim.
The ceremony was attended by Xiaolin Li, President of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and a number of Egyptian and Chinese Ministers.
The honored figures included former Chairman at Riyadh Chamber Of Commerce Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Jeraisy who is head of the Sino-Saudi Friendship Association, Jordanian businessman Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Sudanese ex-oil minister Awad al-Jaz.
Addressing the ceremony, the secretary-general of the Palestinian presidency hailed the Chinese government over its support to the Palestinian cause.
Abdul Rahim said he briefed the Chinese President on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
