Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Silatak Charity Institution, Sheikha Moza bint Nasir, Saturday evening arrived in Khartoum on a several-day visit.
She was received at Khartoum Airport by the Wife of the President of the Republic and Chairwoman of Sanad Charity Institution, a number of ministers and the Ambassador of Qatar to Sudan, Rashid bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Nuaimi.
During her visit to Sudan, Sheikha Moza will witness the signing of a number of important humanitarian agreements with a number of partners, including the Social Development Institution and the Commission for Refugees and the launching of new partnerships.
She will also pay a visit to Al-Obeid city, the capital of North Kordofan State.
The Qatari Silatak Foundation, which was founded in January, 2008, is a leading regional institution which is operating in the field of support and providing employment opportunities and making available economic chances for the youths around the Arab World.
The Qatari institution has affirmed its commitment to provide support to the Sudanese youths by securing one million jobs by advent of the year 2021.
The Executive Chairperson of the Qatari Silatak Institution, Sabah Ismail Al-Haidos, indicated that the institution is existing and continuing support to the Sudanese youth in implementation of the vision of Sheikha Moza.
She said that the institution has introduced more than 20,000 permanent jobs for Sudanese youths.
Al-Haidos affirmed that Silatak Institution is keen that its initiatives and projects shall comply with the state's strategy and the goals of the international development institutions for eradication of poverty, realizing gender equality and providing decent work for all people.
