Morocco’s Appointed Head of Government, Abdelilah Benkirane, has called on party members to refrain from giving statements to any news source whatsoever.
The Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) has now issued a moratorium on any public statements to any news source.
Benkirane’s directive, seen below, was published on the PJD’s official website Wednesday:
“The Secretary General of the Justice and Development Party, Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane calls upon all members of not to give any statement in any subject to any news source, whatsoever.”
The directive does not include any details as to the reason for such an unequivocal guideline, which comes after Benkirane announced on January 8 that negotiations to form the coalition government have ended.
