His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hosted an Iftar banquet at Al-Safriya Palace this evening marking the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier attended. The event was also attended by HM the King\'s sons and senior members of the Royal Family, who conveyed greetings to HM the King on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing him health and happiness and Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King exchanged greetings with the attendees, thanking them for their noble sentiments. He extended his greetings to the people of Bahrain, wishing them as well as the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns. \"Ramadan is the month of worship, compassion, solidarity and harmony\", HM the King said, stressing the importance of seizing this spiritual opportunity to instill the values of unity and fraternity among the people of Bahrain – a country famed for its deep-rooted longstanding national unity.
