The winners of one of the most-coveted draws in the UAE has just been announced and the jackpot went to another expatriate in the Gulf.
Organisers of the Big Ticket in Abu Dhabi confirmed on Sunday that Sashi Ramamurthy will be taking home Dh7 million.
The Indian national is based in Qatar and does not wish to be interviewed. Seven other draw participants won for themselves Dh100,000 each.
The Big Ticket draw is now on its 185th edition. The winners who will each receive Dh100,000 are Suman De, Mohd Shafi, Vinod Kumar Veloor Maloor, Rajasekar Jeyaraj and Azeez Moolamkunnan – all from India - and Emadd Hamdi and Abdullahi Dooyow from Egypt and Somalia, respectively.
