Bahraini Ambassador to the Kingdom Nasser Bin Rashed Al Kaabi said Jordan’s accession to the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC will positively impact both sides. In a statement to Petra on the 40th anniversary of Bahrain’s National Day, the ambassador said that the process of the Kingdom’s accession to the GCC needs sometime as the GCC is governed by laws and legislation, some of which need amendments. Al Kaabi highlighted the strong ties between His Majesty King Abdullah II and GCC leaders, adding that both sides see eye-to-eye on regional and international issues, mainly the Palestinian issue. He said that the volume of Bahraini investments in Jordan stand at $1.6 billion, noting that trade exchange between the two countries reached $306 million in 2010.
