The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the government and peoples of Spain.
Shaikh Fawaz presented his credentials to the Spanish King as the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen the historical relations between the two friendly Kingdoms and consolidate them in various fields of mutual interest.
King Felipe VI conveyed his greetings to His Majesty the King and the wise leadership, welcoming Shaikh Fawaz as Bahrain’s Ambassador to his country, wishing him and the embassy all the success in their new mission.
On this occasion, the ambassador held a reception attended by a number of senior officials of the Spanish Foreign Ministry and a number of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Arab and foreign countries’ Ambassadors accredited to Spain, as well as representatives of the Arab League and the Arab House in Spain “Casa Árabe”.
During the visit, the ambassador met ambassadors of the GCC countries and officials of the Spanish Foreign Ministry in the Protocol Department, Middle East Affairs and Human Rights, where a number of bilateral issues of mutual interest were discussed.
The two sides expressed their thanks and gratitude for the honorable and positive stances adopted by both countries towards each other in various international and regional forums, looking forward to consolidating them.
