A Shoura Council member, Dr. Mu’ad bin Mohammed Al-Madhadh, has stressed the need for programs to prepare university graduates in entering the Saudi labor market.
Al-Madhadh, chairman of the human resources committee at the council, said that training new employees must include informing them about their responsibilities. He said these include duties and rights, their organizational structure, the relationship of their job to other functions, codes of conduct, work ethics and acceptable practices in the workplace.
He also called on all universities to be more responsive and give cooperative training more attention, so that it becomes meaningful and not merely spending certain hours in the training area for the sake of compliance.
Al-Madhadh added that universities must also conduct a follow-up in the area of training to ensure that it is not combined with the study of other courses to maximize results for the trainees.
The Shoura human resources committee chairman also said that most of the people who are trained are absorbed as employees in the place where they underwent training.
He said an employee should be interested in developing himself as much as possible and take advantage of the training he receives
