Abdullah bin Zayed praises ADNOC’s key role in UAE’s growth
Abu dhabi - Arab Today

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, made on Tuesday, an official visit to the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), where he was briefed on the organisation’s long term strategic objectives.

During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE and Abu Dhabi’s leadership’s steadfast support for ADNOC.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah praised the organisation’s 2030 strategy which will ensure ADNOC continues to be an integral part of the country’s economic prosperity, for decades to come.

"ADNOC has long been and will continue to be cornerstone of the UAE economy. It has also played critical role in helping achieve the ambitious social and economic development objectives of the country. The evolution taking place, within ADNOC, will not only ensure its resilience but also strengthen its position amongst the world’s leading oil and gas companies," said Sheikh Abdulla bin Zayed.

H.H. was welcomed to ADNOC by Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the ADNOC Group, and ADNOC’s leadership team. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah discussed ADNOC’s plans to generate sustained, strategic, growth, by becoming a smarter, and more agile organization able to respond quickly to changing market conditions.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed was briefed on how ADNOC’s focus on its people, performance, profitability and efficiency strategic pillars is enabling it to evolve into a more commercially minded organisation that is optimising costs, driving operational efficiencies, maximizing the value of its resources and creating new high-margin products.

Dr Al Jaber said: "It was a pleasure to welcome HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to our new headquarters and introduce him to our new performance-led culture, that is focused on creating maximum value for our people, our business and the UAE. Our new 2030 strategy and five-year business plan will enable us to deliver our strategic objectives, while maintaining our competitive edge. By doing so we will continue to play a central role in driving economic development and diversification."

During a tour of ADNOC’s new headquarters, ADNOC’s leadership team shared with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed insights into how the building had been designed to inspire team work, creativity, dialogue and critical thinking, in a nurturing and inclusive environment, that encourages people to innovate, and deliver results.

ADNOC’s 2030 strategy and five-year-business plan, was approved, earlier this month, by Abu Dhabi’s Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC). It has a clear focus on delivering more valuable and profitable upstream and downstream businesses, while ensuring an economic and sustainable supply of gas, in line with the Abu Dhabi leadership’s directives.
