UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended on Thursday the Munich Security Conference which discusses latest counter-terrorism developments, especially the efforts against Dae'sh terrorist group, Ukraine crisis and other security issues in the Middle East.
The conference is being attended by delegates from 51 countries, including 20 heads of states and prime ministers, 50 foreign and defence ministers and 400 senior officials.
The three-day conference is also being attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US Vice President Joe Biden, Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, European Parliament President Martin Schulz and President Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan.
High on the conference's agenda are nuclear talks with Iran, conflict in Syria and the refugees crisis, the Ibola outbreak in West Africa, and cyber terrorism.
On Friday, Sheikh Abdullah met separately with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, and Madeleine Albright.
The meetings discussed avenues of joint co-operation and ways to enhance them and reviewed topics on the conference's agenda. They also touched on current regional and international developments.
