Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Friday at the sidelines of the 69th UN General Assembly meetings with foreign ministers of 8 countries taking part in the meetings.
Sheikh Abdullah met separately with the foreign ministers Edgars Rinkevics of Latvia, Nikola Poposki of Macedonia, Hector Marcos Timerman of Argentina, Mohammed Bazoum of Niger, Segi Lavrov of Russia, Laurent Fabios of France, Ditmir Bushati of Albania and Charles Fernandez of Antigua and Barbuda.
The meetings covered UAE's bilateral ties with the eight countries respectively and cooperation in political, economic, commercial, cultural and tourism affairs.
Sheikh Abdullah exchanged views with the ministers on the topics in the general assembly meetings' agenda, regional developments and international counter-terrorism efforts.
The meetings were attended by Major General Fares Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs and Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, UAE's Permanent Representative to the UN.
