President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrives in Beijing on Monday on a three-day visit during which he will have talks with Chinese officials on ways of boosting bilateral and strategic relations.
In statements to MENA on the occasion of Sisi's planned visit to China, Egypt's Ambassador to Beijing Magdi Amer said launching a comprehensive strategic partnership between Egypt and China would have major returns for both countries.
"This strategic partnership will be followed by upgrading the relations between Egypt and China in all political, economic, trade and investment fields," the diplomat said.
He noted that Sisi's visit program included meetings with the Chinese president, prime minister and the parliament speaker.
The president will hold two meetings on Tuesday with representatives of the private sector; one with chairmen of 20 major Chinese economic groups and another with representatives of 100 major companies.
On Wednesday, Sisi will meet with presidents of the most important 4 universities in China, the ambassador said.
