Star Care Foundation
Star Care Foundation launched the project \"Empowering the marginalised girls\" in collaboration with the Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women. The project comes in line with Star Care beliefs of the importance of cooperation between civil society and the private sector in these issues.
\"Star Care\" is one of the major foundations of the sustainable development around the world which is working to help girls realise their dreams and participate positively in their community.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Star Care, Philip Hugenberge said: \"The foundation focuses on establishing the concept of citizenship and social responsibility of the private sector in the society in which it operates, starting from caring for the children, young men and women who represent the hope for a bright future.\"
This is the fifth project of the foundation in Egypt.
Chairman of Star Care, Engineer Karim Saad, said that the project of empowerment of the marginalised girls is the fifth project of the foundation in Egypt, as the work of Star Care in Egypt began with two projects; health care and “the oasis of health and hope” to help children with cancer. Star Care also participated in the training programme for school children launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, as well as its participation in food-for-education project launched by the World Food Programme (WFP) of the United Nations.\"
Chairperson of the Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women, Dr. Iman Bibars said: \"We are happy with the new partnership with the Star Care Foundation in our project; \"Empowering the marginalised girls\"; in which we seek to train girls unable to acquire the skills and abilities needed to become more productive in society. We are optimistic that the project will achieve the success it deserves.\"
