CEO of Dubai Women Establishment Shamsa Saleh
Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) and Singapore Council of Women's Organisations (SCWO) have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on sharing expertise, experiences, practices and information in areas such as
women in workforce, women in leadership, women on boards and women in Islamic workplaces.
Ms. Shamsa Saleh, CEO of Dubai Women Establishment and Mrs. Laura Tan-Hwang, President of Singapore Council of Women Organisations, signed the MoU in the presence of representatives from the two institutions.
Ms. Saleh said, "Dubai Women Establishment has consistently encouraged the implementation of policies and programs aimed at supporting women in the workplace while ensuring the highest level of functionality and efficiency. These efforts are further fortified by developing strong relationships with various local and international organizations that are similarly devoted to uplifting the role women within their communities and boost their drive towards achieving professional, social and economic success." On her part , Mrs. Tan-Hwang, said, "This MoU reflects the similar goals of SCWO and DWE in endeavoring to put women at the heart of the growth of our respective countries, and strengthening our ties with this common purpose. We will work together and learn from each other's experiences for policies, practices and values to be formulated with this in mind."
