Dr. Hanan Ashrawi
Jerusalem – Sona Adeek
The member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, called on the international community to protect the Palestinians from the Israeli attacks, and hold Israel
accountable for its continuous crimes, acts of Zionism and plans for settlements.
Regarding the Palestinian leadership request of a non-member State, Ashrawi said it is important to decide on the timing of the submission of the application, deciding on how it is going to be drafted in order to ensure the borders, the capital, and the Palestinian demands. In addition to ensuring that, the largest possible number of General Assembly members will vote in favour of the request and recognise the Palestinian state according to the borders of 1967
In another context, Ashrawi said that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, gave orders during the meeting of the Executive Committee yesterday to pay full salaries to the employees as soon as possible.
Ashrawi said that the president asked the prime minister who attended the meeting, to study the wave of high prices that Palestine witnesses.
Ashrawi added that the authority was looking for permanent solutions to resolve the financial crisis, and not solutions that are based on instant reactions.
