Ajman University of Science and Technology (Aust)
A Dh170 million science park is to built by Ajman University of Science and Technology (Aust). Construction of the 5,000-capacity facility for the emirate was given the go-ahead by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid, Ruler of Ajman
.
It is hoped the Aust Science Park will usher in a productive era for science education and research in the Northern Emirates.
"This project is a translation of the vision that set up Ajman University in 1988,” said Mr Osama Salman, vice president of Aust.
"This vision has made the university a pioneer in the private higher education sector locally and regionally. For the past 26 years Aust has been graduating the human capital of the nation and this project provides the quantum leap in supporting the development of our beloved nation through research, training and scientific excellence.”
The building will feature a contemporary design and will cater for students of all scientific disciplines.
Once complete, it will play a key role in science training and development throughout the country, preparing future generations with the skills needed to best serve the country.
The plans were unveiled at a meeting at the Ruler's Court with Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, head of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.
At the meeting, Sheikh Humaid thanked Aust for its efforts.
