Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Vice-President of Abu Dhabi University's Board of Trustees, will tomorrow open the annual Abu Dhabi University Career Fair - 2014.
Held under Sheikh Nahyan's patronage and sponsored by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Media Company.
Now in its fifth year, the 2-day career fair is expected to attract about 55 of the region's top public and private organisations from a wide range of industries.
Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, explained that organising the Career Fair for a fifth year in a row translates the University's keenness on providing students and graduates with the opportunity to meet with business owners and representatives of various public sector and private employers.
"The experience gives students a chance to evaluate their skills in comparison to those needed in the labour market and allows them to explore the diverse job and training opportunities provided by participating companies," added Dr. Ibrahim.
He asserted that this increase is yet another testament to the quality of Abu Dhabi University's graduates. "Moreover, it allows us to share Abu Dhabi University's celebrations of its 10th anniversary with the public, our community partners, and the participating companies.
Dr. Ibrahim lauded the efforts and continuous support the career fair has received from the wide variety of participating government bodies and private organisations in the U.A.E., and their keenness to share with students and visitors their expertise from industries that include health, petroleum, environment, tourism, hotels, banking, information technology, consulting and real estate, accounting, communications, engineering, commerce and many others.
