The funding will be spent over the next five years. The U.S. government has funded the construction of 27 new and expansion of 38 existing schools in Jordan.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Education, Mohammad Thunaibat, and Minister of Public Works and Housing, Sami Halsah, and U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Stuart Jones, and Director of USIAD in Jordan Beth Beige.
