Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU)
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU) has officially announced the launch of the 2014 HBMeU Congress during a press conference held at HBMeU's campus in Dubai Academic City today.
The Congress will be held
under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of HBMeU, and will have the theme 'Leading Transformation to Sustainable Excellence.' The Congress will take place from March 3 to 5, 2014 at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai.
HBMeU's Congress 2014 is a strategic platform for stimulating academic and institutional innovation and excellence as well as scientific research. The international gathering will further enrich the knowledge base of the Middle East. Its agenda will include the hosting of three distinguished concurrent scientific conferences, namely the 7th Quality Conference in the Middle East under the theme 'Towards a Sustainable Excellence: Leading a Successful Transformation,' the 6th Conference on eLearning Excellence in the Middle East under the theme 'Leadership, Design and Technology for 21st Century Learning,' and the 5th e-Health and Environment Conference in Middle East under the theme 'Transformation for Better Healthcare and Environment.' The conferences are in alignment with the UAE vision 2021, which aims to deliver excellence in services quality and healthcare as well as shifting from conventional education to smart learning.
The Congress will host four policy and strategy roundtables on 'Smart Value for Smart Customer,' 'Smart Learning with Smart Learners,' 'Transforming Healthcare Delivery in the Arab World,' and 'Transforming the Environmental Management Strategies in Arab Countries.' To be attended by distinguished experts from all across the globe, the roundtables will respond to the challenges with well-informed discussions and bringing out the truth associated with various policy issues that will definitely make difference on policy issues crucial to the region.
According to Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, HBMeU Chancellor, "The Congress 2014 offers an important opportunity to initiate a healthy scientific debate in the fields of e-Learning, Health and Quality while throwing spotlight on this year's theme of sustainable excellence. The leading scientists, researchers, academics, e-learning experts, senior government officials, business leaders and international representatives (attending the Congress) will express their opinions, exchange expertise, and share new initiatives. The Congress will also highlight the latest technologies and best strategies to promote the concept of e-Learning." Commenting on sponsoring the Congress, Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World '&' Maritime World said: "Today's world offers immense challenges and opportunities for individuals, organizations, and the global community. Globalisation demands that we live in an integrated society that is characterized by speed and dynamism. The HBMeU Congress 2014 will also feature plenary and scientific sessions and pre-conference workshops as well as present awards for 'Best Paper' and 'Best Student Research' during the course of the three-day event.
Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh, Founder and Chairman, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) in Jordan, will deliver the main keynote speech, 'Bridging the Education Gap through Technology.'
