The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has opened Al Reedha School for Basic Education in Tarim District, Hadramaut, Yemen, after revamping, rehabilitating and furnishing it.
The gesture is in line with the rehabilitation and maintenance process of infrastructure and vital facilities, especially in the educational sector in the Government of Hadramaut.
Shawqi Al Tamimi, Projects Supervisor at ERC, toured the school with Yemeni educational officials, who were briefed on the latest maintenance process.
In his remarks after the opening ceremony, Abdullah Al Musafri, Head of the ERC Team in Hadramaut, stressed the importance of the project for the population, as the school provides services to a large number of students.
He also highlighted the attention given by the UAE, represented in its humanitarian branch, ERC, to the educational process, noting that there is an integrated plan to revamp a number of buildings and vital facilities in Hadramaut.
Mohammed Awad Hadi, Seretary-General of the Tarim Local Council, expressed his happiness at the opening of the school and praised the role played by the UAE, its people, and the government in supporting the educational sector in the governorate.
