Bahrain\'s Education Minister Majid bin Ali al-Nuaimi has endorsed the Scholarship Programme for the School Year 2013-2014
.
In a statement, he announced that scholarships would be granted to students on the basis of standards of meritocracy , without any gender discrimination.
The ministry sought to strike the balance between boys and girls taking Bahrain\'s needs and the admission terms enforced by some universities.
A total of fifty scholarships have been earmarked for students with special needs who meet the terms. Al-Nuaimi paid tribute to the wise leadership for supporting outstanding students, being Bahrain’s real precious asset.
The ministry has allocated a total of 2624 scholarships and grants, 1463 for public school graduates, 311 for private school graduates, 800 grants (financial allowances) for outstanding students and 50 scholarships for students with special needs
\"Registration will start begin on June 25 and run until June 27,\" Scholarship Directorate Isa Abdulla al-Kooheji said.
