Egyptian Youth Party\'s chairman Dr Ahmed Abdel Hady
The wife of Egyptian Youth Party\'s chairman has started a media protest outside the presidential palace.
Huda Raafat from the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate joined Dr Ahmed Abdel Hady and three other journalists for the sit-in.
Their protest is related to the administration\'s decision to support partisan national newspapers over independent or non-party publications.
Around 200 journalists from both partisan and independent newspapers have complained to the President\'s office, but are yet to receive a reply.
Dr Hady said that President Mohammed Morsi was supporting the national press with millions of pounds so they praise his excellency. He said that the lack of support led to the displacement of several journalists.
The journalists say Government officials are not listening to their concerns because Yasser Ali, spokesman for President, refused to meet them.
