Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has attended the opening of the first U.A.E. Media Forum (UAEMF) held under the patronage of His Highness
and organised by the Dubai Press Club (DPC) at the InterContinental Hotel Dubai - Festival City.
Present at the opening were a group of local media organisations' leaders, experts and specialists in various areas of media work, along with a large number of Emirati Media students.
The opening was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation and of Sharjah Media Centre, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, Dr. Abdullah Omran Taryam, Chairman of Dar Al Khaleej for Press, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, along with a number of senior media officials, writers and thinkers.
Upon arrival, Sheikh Mohammed and his accompanying delegation toured the exhibition held within the U.A.E. Media Forum with the participation of nine national media institutions and a number of Emirati Media students.
During his tour, His Highness spoke to the young people participating in the exhibition and learned about the quality of the business they are participating with, in the first event of its kind in the state, where he expressed his admiration and expressed his sincere wishes to them to achieve every possible success in their studies and their careers.
He also visited the national media institutions' wings participating in the exhibition, where he was briefed on what they are offering through their participation, especially in the field of supporting the young generation and positive communication with media students at national universities.
