H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, opened on Sunday the unified liaison centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MoFAIC, in the emirate of Fujairah.
The centre will receive calls from citizens round the clock and respond to their enquiries, complaints and suggestions, as well as request assistance in case of emergency.
The Crown Prince of Fujairah affirmed that the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has become prominent on the map of development and cultural achievements, and provides world-class services in the field of comprehensive and sustainable development.
During the opening ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad praised the ministry's strategy, under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to promote the implementation of the highest standards of government performance in services and procedures.
The launch of the centre follows the directives of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to establish a special liaison centre of the ministry in Fujairah. It will serve as a link between the ministry's headquarters and the representative missions of the state abroad.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, and Mohammed Al Afkham, Director of Fujairah Municipality
Also present at the opening ceremony were Ambassador Ahmed Elham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at MoFAIC, Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Assistant Under-Secretary for Support Services at the ministry, and Hamad Mattar Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Operations Department at the ministry.
The launch of the call centre is also in line with the UAE government's directives, which aim to improve the level of services offered to customers and achieve the highest level of public satisfaction. The ministry has set up the phone line 800-44444 to serve UAE nationals over 24 hours a day, and seven days a week.
Mohammed Mir Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the ministry, said the launch of the unified liaison centre is part of MoFAIC’s efforts to ensure client satisfaction, in line with the directives of the UAE leadership.
He added that the call centre provides services in Arabic and English, and aims to enhance communication with citizens, especially citizens abroad. It also facilitates channels of communication between the ministry and its representative missions abroad, and raise the quality of response to queries received by the ministry, in addition to conducting questionnaires necessary to measure the level of customer satisfaction, Al Raisi added.
