Dubai Shopping Festival 2014
The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and the organisers of Dubai Shopping Festival, have announced the DSF 2014 Photography Award
to honour press photographers who capture outstanding and memorable moments of DSF 2014 through images.
Press photographers from local publications in English and Arabic can submit their entries under two award categories, namely, DSF Celebrations and DSF Shopping.
The applications in the DSF Celebrations category should reflect the current DSF theme, "Shop At Your Best" with images narrating the stories of the multi-cultural aspects of Dubai as well as the DSF celebrations in the form of visitors, tourists and families. Entries for the second category, DSF Shopping, should highlight the wide variety of shopping opportunities that are available to visitors and residents during DSF 2014. The photographs in this category should encapsulate the festivities in Dubai as seen at numerous luxurious malls, souks and streets.
A distinguished panel will judge all the entries in both categories and the names of the winners will be announced during a special ceremony on the last day of DSF 2014. The winner in each category will receive a trophy and prize money of US$ 000, while the runner-up will receive US$2000 and the third placed entrant will be rewarded with US$1000.
The deadline for participating in both categories is Tuesday, January 28th, 2014 and all entries must be submitted to The Media Centre - Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment.
