Filmmaker Lee Halpin obtained a MA in Creative Writing from Newcastle Univeristy
Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a documentary filmmaker in Newcastle, England.
Lee Halpin was reported
to have died from hypothermia whilst making a documentary about homelessness in Britain.
Police found the body of Mr Halpin on Wednesday morning, in a derelict house in Newcastle. He had been sleeping rough to immerse himself in the homeless lifestyle.
Although initial reports linked the cause of death to hypothermia, two men have since been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance.
In his last message to his followers on social networking site Twitter, Mr Halpin had asked if anyone had a sleeping bag he could borrow. An outpouring of public sympathy has since been expressed through the media.
My Halpin was 26 when he died. A postmortem examination will take place Monday.
