Toyota Corolla leads the way in United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Toyota Corolla has extended its lead as the UAE\'s best-selling passenger car with an outstanding performance in July, showing an increase of 44 percent compared to the same period
last year according to al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE.
\"The success of Corolla has been instrumental in growing Toyota\'s sales and helping al-Futtaim Motors maintain its leading position in the UAE automotive market,\" said Alan Carpenter, General Manager Sales and Marketing al-Futtaim Motors.
\"With the UAE being the land of opportunities, people constantly flow into our country looking for a better standard of living. Once they settle, Toyota Corolla naturally be comes the first car that comes to their mind thanks to its remarkable reliability, low total cost of ownership, excellent fuel economy and high resale value,\" he added.
Carpenter highlighted \"We have seen a substantial growth in both our retail and fleet sales. I attribute this to two factors:improved supply and models specifically adapted to each of these two customer groups such as the exciting Corolla Sport with cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel, exterior sports body kit, 16\" alloy wheels, and sun roof.\"
The Toyota Corolla was first introduced in 1966 and managed to become the world\'s bestselling nameplate in the seventies, selling over 40 million cars till date.\"
