Land Rover LR2
The WaterCar Python is a vehicle capable of bringing massive amounts of ugly to both land and water. Obviously any car which is capable of travel over both land and water is going to struggle to
win any beauty contests, but surely there's some better looking options than this.
One aspect of the WaterCar Python which you can't fault is the performance. Thanks to a GM-sourced V8 - ranging from the LS1 to the LS9 from the Corvette ZR1 the company claim the Python is the fastest amphibious car in the world. With the top-spec LS9 unit the Python can launch itself from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Top speed is a more conservative 100 mph on land, but this is probably more due to the vehicles aerodynamics than lack of power!
Despite the overall weight of 1,725 kgs (3,800 lbs) the performance stats are just as impressive on water, and the company claim 60 mph is possible thanks to the Dominator Jet Drive propulsion unit. Each WaterCar Python will be handbuilt to order and can be fully customized to suit the buyers tastes with 60,000 exterior color options and 4,000 interior choices. The layout and positioning of the seats can also be tailored to fit the buyers needs.
