With 400 bhp and just 60g/km of CO2 emissions, the forthcoming Volvo XC90 boasts an exceptional power to fuel consumption ratio for an SUV. With room for up to seven passengers, the model will be among the stars of the next Paris Motor Show this October.
Volvo achieved this level of efficiency thanks to its new Twin Engine technology. The next-generation Volvo XC90 will also be the first model to be based on the brand's new scalable platform architecture (SPA) and will include certain autonomous driving functions. A wide range of customization options will be available, including several of Volvo's latest driving aids, security features and smart technologies.
The SUV also stands out for its luxurious interior, unlike any seen before from the brand, including high-end materials such as wood, leather, Orrefors crystal and even a diamond-cut finish for the start-up button and volume control knob. A large touchscreen located front and center acts as the main control panel for the car's on-board settings.
The Volvo XC90 is expected to be unveiled in August before going on display at the Paris Motor Show this October.
