Around a week after introducing its new A7 and S7 Sportback, Audi has unveiled the latest iteration of its RS 7 Sportback. The high-performance version of the five-door coupe is expected to arrive at European dealerships this summer, priced starting at €113,300 in Germany.
Audi has made a few subtle updates to the exterior, including the introduction of LED headlights. Under the hood, the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine still packs 560hp, enabling the car to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 305km/h. Over a mixed driving cycle, the car consumes 9.5 liters per 100km for CO2 emissions equivalent to 221g/km.
Now more than ever, the Audi RS7 Sportback is presented as a rival to the Porsche Panamera, the Maserati Quattroporte, the Aston Martin Rapide S and other luxury sports cars.
Updates all around for the category
For its part, the latest Audi A7 Sportback has been updated with a new grille and front bumper as well as LED headlights, which are now a standard feature. Among the multiple driver assistance systems in the new coupe are Adaptive Cruise Control, Audi Side Assist and Audi Active Lane (both for use when changing lanes), night vision assistance, and the Audi Pre Sense safety technology, which reinforces passenger and driver restraints in situations where a collision is likely.
The new Audi A7 Sportback will begin rolling into dealerships from this summer, with prices starting at €51,300 in Germany. The Audi S7 Sportback, the even sportier version of the coupe, will be available starting at €82,300 in the manufacturer's home market.
