TAMANI Marina Hotel
TAMANI Hotel Dubai has won the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Award (WLHA) after the five-star property was voted as the Best Luxury Suite Hotel for 2013. The award was accepted by Walid Al Awa, General Manager of
TAMANI Hotel Marina from Marinique de West, Director of WLHA, at a gala ceremony held recently at the Indigo Pearl Phuket, under the patronage of Suraphon Svetasreni, the Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The ceremony was attended by more than 260 owners and general managers of hotels from across the world.
Mr. Al Awa said, "Without the great team work we have at TAMANI, we would never have achieved the highest guest satisfaction that brought this prestigious award. It is a great feeling to receive the second award for the hotel this year. This is not the end for sure and we will get more awards in the future." The award indicates that world-class hotel accommodation is available in Dubai in the run-up to Expo 2020. The hotel will launch new promotions during Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF-2014) which will include value-added services like transportation to beaches and shopping malls.
Al Awa said the hotel has recorded a five per cent increase in the number of guests from the Arabian Gulf (GCC) states and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) between January and October compared with the same period last year.
In May, the hotel won recognition for being the best hotel in the Environment category at the Middle East and North Africa Travel Awards.
The World Luxury Hotel Awards was established in 2006. Over 1,000 hotels from 87 countries were nominated for the awards in 50 categories in 2013. Winners are judged on service delivery and effective management voted for by international tour operators, travel agents and hotel guests, making the process fair and unbiased. Hotels were recognised on a country, continent and global basis.
