In response to the rising popularity of fitness-themed travel like bootcamps and yoga retreats, Reebok has teamed up with an adventure travel specialist to create holiday packages packed with high-intensity, outdoor activities. Reebok
Fitness Vacations by Austin Adventures launches this summer in Montana, where guests will be able to explore Big Sky, Yellowstone and Paradise Alley on scenic bike rides and river rafts; along hikes and trail runs; and via organized obstacle races and fitness classes.
Guests who sign up to these trips can expect to climb steep peaks, drop to the ground for pushups during background trail hikes and climb stairs to waterfall lookouts.
Nature lovers will also be able to indulge their love of the outdoors and drink in the fresh air with forest trail runs, whitewater paddling, outdoor fitness classes and yoga sessions.
The summer schedule begins with two week-long trips scheduled for July and August in Montana, and two more packages scheduled for the fall in Utah’s Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
Another trip is scheduled for Costa Rica in November. Prices start at $2,500 USD.
Other popular fitness-themed travel packages include Bikini Bootcamp in Tulum, Mexico -- which claims to be among the first adventure fitness vacation outfits having started a decade ago -- and The Ashram, with two locations, in California and Mallorca, Spain.
Guests at The Ashram have included Oprah Winfrey, Ashley Judd, Dan Aykroyd and Jane Fonda.
Looking for something a little less intense and perhaps a little more pampering? Canyon Ranch is perhaps one of the pioneers in luxury health and fitness resorts, with locations across the US.
