The 16th edition of Modhesh World began on Thursday promising 52 days of non-stop fun for the entire family.
Modhesh World, organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), has grown in stature over the years, ever since it was launched in 2000 as the home of Dubai's popular mascot Modhesh.
Occupying an area of over 34,000sqm at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Modhesh World 2015, the biggest ever edition, offers the largest number of attractions at a theme park of its kind in the region
Each of its eight halls has its own identity and adventure, offering families and young ones the opportunity to enjoy a memorable summer.
Modhesh World 2015, which runs until August 29, features five new attractions; Slide, Mirror Maze, Valkyrie, Fly Jump and X-Rider.
Adding extra sparkle to the summer fun the region's favourite teen star, Hala Turk will perform at the Modhesh World Stage on August 16, while Nancy Ajram will perform at the same venue on August 24.
Suhaila Ghubash, Director, Festivals and Events, DFRE, said: "Every year, Modhesh World aims to excite visitors with new and unique entertainment and this year is no different with the largest number of attractions paving the way for a fun-filled summer for residents and families from around the world. With its range of world-class entertainment and learning experiences, Modhesh World has firmly established itself as a family edutainment hub that gives children the opportunity to get creative in a fun ambience".
During the holy month of Ramadan and to stimulate greater interest among families, the organisers are offering free entry to Modhesh World from 9am to 4pm. From 4pm until closing time tickets will be priced at Dh10 per person. During the month of Ramadan, a 50 per cent discount will be offered on all games at Modhesh World.
Modhesh World will be open daily from 9am to midnight Saturday to Wednesday, and 9am to 1am on Thursdays and Fridays.
