Emirates was honoured with 'Best Airline - Business', 'Best Airline - Leisure' and Best Loyalty Rewards Programme' for Skywards at the prestigious 2014 Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards Middle East.
Presented by the magazine's Middle East edition, Emirates was recognised by leisure travelers as their preferred airline, as well as for its quality service and product tailored to the needs of the business traveler. With over 12 million members, Skywards, the frequent flyer programme from Emirates, also won top honours.
"Conde Nast Traveller is truly a tastemaker and authority in the world of travel, and having its readers chose Emirates as their preferred airline, is very gratifying. Our customer has always been at the heart of whatever we do, and these awards are a validation that we are doing the right thing," said Badr Abbas - Vice President, Commercial Operations (U.A.E. and Oman), Emirates.
The Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards Middle East are part of a global tradition spanning over 25 years that honours the best in travel, based on votes from elite travellers and readers of the magazine," said Rhea Saran, Editor - Conde Nast Traveller (Middle East). "I'd like to congratulate Emirates on the well-deserved recognition it received, coming out with top honours across three aviation categories, spanning leisure travel, business and loyalty rewards." These prestigious accolades are a testament to Emirates' on-going commitment to excellence and innovation across its different areas of business. During the past twelve months, Emirates has continued to deliver a high level of service performance, even while introducing new routes and inducting over 23 new aircraft into its fleet. In 2014, Emirates launched new routes to Kiev, Taipei, Boston, Abuja, Chicago, Oslo, Brussels, and Budapest.
In keeping with its spirit of innovation, Emirates recently entered a partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide that provides reciprocal benefits to Emirates Skywards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) members, to elevate their earnings and benefits when they fly with Emirates or stay with Starwood.
Emirates' fleet of modern aircraft has now grown to 230 aircraft flying to 147 destinations, including the world's largest Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 fleet. The airline, a connecter of people, places and passions, was established in 1985 and has become one of the world's most successful carriers, winning hundreds of international awards for its products and services.
