EgyptAir, the country's national carrier, was awarded by Athens International Airport (AIA) as the fastest growing airline in the African continent in 2016.
The award came during the annual Airline Marketing Workshop organized by the Athens International Airport.
The workshop witnessed on Thursday honoring a number of aviation firms which have recorded the highest growth rates pertaining to the number of passengers, internal flights and traveling markets.
Experts exchanged their vision during the workshop concerning the aviation market and the positive expectations for 2017.
