The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, to promote co-operation and exchange information on inspections, health and occupational safety.
The MoU was signed by Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Naeeb Mohammed Al Ali, Executive Director of the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau.
Al Suwaidi highlighted the desire of the Ministry to promote co-operation with its strategic partners in the public and private sectors by exchanging experiences and integrating roles to enhance government performance and achieve the highest levels of quality and efficiency in providing services to customers, as well as to meet the national agenda and contribute to the country’s development.
He added that the MoU is a signal that both the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, are aware of their strategic roles in achieving the government’s goals by performing activities in joint areas, especially in the field of inspections, as well as supporting occupational health and safety standards.
Al Ali stated that the MoU will contribute to achieving the highest levels of health and safety for those working at the Expo to help them benefit from its organisational structures to ensure work efficiency and the satisfaction of employers and employees, as well as the rights of all employees working at the Expo Bureau and those preparing the event.
He added that working with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation will enable the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau to obtain information related to the occupational health and safety, in a bid to handle any practical situation at any stage of Expo 2020 Dubai.
The MoU states that workforce information on consultants and general contracting companies, working under the scope of Expo 2020 Dubai, will be exchanged.
The MoU will also allow the Bureau to access the work contracts of employees, and the permits of consultants and contracting companies, such as lease contracts, civil defence and other contracts, as well as reports to the Ministry regarding work injuries or cases of occupational diseases.
