For the 4th year in a row, Lafayette Gourmet’s Food Fest returns with a 3-day program of foodie activities, tastings, workshops, and entertainment, from September 17th until 19th, 2015 at Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall.
Strengthening its reputation as a gastronomic destination and unique food hall concept, Lafayette Gourmet will incorporate a variety of activities for its customers and foodies by hosting Regional and International Chefs as well as infamous Bloggers, who will be showcasing cuisines and culinary offerings from all over the world.
Food Fest 2015 will celebrate “real” food and organic produce while promoting Lafayette Gourmet‘s wide offer range.
Chef Russell Impiazzi, Culinary Director of Lafayette Gourmet, says:
“I am very excited about this year’s Food Fest, we have had a lot of fun with the last three, and the fourth one will be even bigger! We have brought together a fantastic group of Chefs, producers and foodie fans for a celebration of “real food”. Looking at where our produce comes from is really important for us and I hope we will give an insight to what we do at Galeries Lafayette. From the
local organic produce and amazing cheeses, to the Heritage Beef Program, having the opportunity to talk to the people behind this and taste the “real” products, gives the experience a sense of involvement and fun.
One highlight that I am looking forward to is working with Chef Philippe from the Chocolate Academy: we will be working on an exclusively produced range of chocolate truffles which will translate our vision of Dubai from the past, present and future… This is the idea behind Food Fest: interpret food, taste and talk about it, sharing experiences and ideas along the way. With chef demos, workshops, live entertainment and lots to eat, I’m sure that if you love food, you will enjoy Food Fest!’’
Lafayette Gourmet’s Food Fest 2015 dynamic program will include several celebrity Chefs, who will be serving up special culinary creations and hosting demos and workshops whilst revealing their secret recipes:
* founder and owner of Canada Beef, Robert Serapiglia;
* Chocolate-genius and Chocolate Academy’s favorite, Chef Phillipe Marand;
* Master of the ethical farm-to-table concept, resident of Six Senses Zighy Bay, Chef Richard Lee;
* Founder of the first organic, raw, vegan restaurant in the UAE, Chef Hayley Mac from Bestro
…and more to be confirmed!
A #FFfoodstagram workshop will be hosted by award-winning food blogger Karen McLean, the face behind Secret Squirrel Food: foodies will learn how to take stunning images of their dishes.
Also confirmed to participate: Noreen Wasti, the passionate blogger from Noni’s Place blog who will be hosting a workshop on how to master the savoir-fair of table setting.
Following the tradition, this year’s Food Fest will be presenting its diverse and culturally-rich cuisines via numerous food stations: food lovers will be able to sample a variety of cuisines from the exhibiting suppliers and Lafayette Gourmet’s own kitchens, whilst entertained by live music and entertainment including magicians, hang drummers, guitarists, stilt-walkers and jugglers.
Lastly, Galeries Lafayette in partnership with Air France KLM will be the giving the chance to one lucky winner and a friend to win a culinary trip to Amsterdam, including a 3 night-stay in the 5-star Conservatorium Museumplein Hotel!
