King Salman Relief Center delegation headed by general supervisor’s assistant, Maher bin Abdul Rahman Al – Hadrawi met the CEO of Health Emergency Program of World Health Organization (WHO), Peter Salama in the light of Donor Conference in Geneva. They discussed bilateral cooperation and joint project between the center and WHO in Yemen, along with the project’s phases and achievements.
Al – Hadrawi confirmed the need to look for sustainable solutions for health problems in Yemen and not only response to emergency, in order to reduce efforts and keep resources that will help the Yemeni health sector.
The parties discussed the possibility to create a healthcare system that includes all governorates of Yemen, especially the remote areas, in order to reduce pressure on health facilities in major cities, and prevent famine in areas that lack food security..
