Ministry of Health and Population declared a state of health emergency following the spread of cholera epidemic, in a statement obtained by Saba late on on Sunday.
The declaration came after cholera outbreaks in the capital Sanaa and all its districts.
The statement confirmed that the numbers of infected patients have increased up to 8,567 and that exceeded the normal rates in which the health system cannot cope with the worsening situation.
In the statement, the ministry sent urgent call to all international organizations to help assist in combating the unprecedented disaster in the capital and all other provinces.
