As part of the UAE's efforts to contain the epidemic, Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has sent a new shipment of antibiotics to combat cholera in the Yemeni governorates.
This shipment comes within the framework of the UAE's continued humanitarian efforts to support the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.
The ERC delegation handed over the shipment of medicines to the representative of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Yemen, to be distributed to all governorates of Yemen as needed, especially in the governorates where the cholera epidemic is spreading.
Representative of the WHO valued the UAE's role in meeting the humanitarian needs of Yemen, which faces difficulties in all areas, especially health. He expressed the organisation's appreciation for the UAE's contributions to supporting Yemen.
