The Great Gatsby will be released on May 10 (USA)
It might be set in the Roaring Twenties, but the soundtrack to director Baz Luhrmann\'s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald\'s literary classic The Great Gatsby is strictly 21st century hip-hop
, rock and pop.
The track list was released on Thursday by Universal Music and features top-shelf musicians, including Beyonce, British rising star Emeli Sandé and US songstress Lana Del Rey.
Rap royalty Jay-Z is executive producer of the project and will also be debuting the song, 100$ Bill.
Meanwhile Beyonce has teamed up with one-half of Outkast, musician Andre 3000 to cover the late singer Amy Winehouse’s iconic single Black to Black.
The rest of the 12-song track list brags an eclectic mix of musicians, from Hip-hop veteran Q-Tip, to Australian Grammy-winner Gotye and indie group The xx.
The highly anticipated film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the charismatic Jay Gatsby, alongside a myriad of Hollywood stars and starlets – coupled with the glittering soundtrack, it looks set to be a crowd pleaser.
The soundtrack will be released worldwide by InterScope on May 6.
