Sarah Jessica Parker in a Helston Heritage dress
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has apparently parted ways with fashion label Halston Heritage, only a year after being appointed as President and Creative Director of the fashion label
. Parker has been seen wearing the brand’s creations at numerous red carpet events and on the set of Sex and the City 2. The actress became a fashion icon after her role in the Sex and the City series, and has since then launched her own fashion label and perfume range.
Sarah seemed very excited after being appointed as the President of Halston, despite the fact that she didn’t know anything about what her role was to involve. Last year she said: \'There is a huge amount I don\'t know and I am very candid about that… I am excited to learn.”
\'There are going to be things that come up that I am equipped to deal with and answer and respond to... I have no allergy to learning,” She added.
Although the separation has not been officially announced, the suspicions came about after Vogue US referred to her exit in an interview with the actress. The reasons behind the separation are still unclear, although it has been suggested that the label is struggling financially, especially after its new backer Miramax boss, Harvey Weinstein, pulled funding.
It is such a shame as Sarah was reportedly working 16 hours a day on the design and marketing of the brand.
Don’t worry Sarah, we would hire you as our Creative Director any day!
