Lebanese singer Najwa Sultan
Lebanese singer Najwa Sultan's won the case against director Nadly Qudeih on the music video “Oyon El-Maha." The incident occurred after a personal dispute during the filming, as Sultan tells
Arabstoday.
“The judge rejected the lawsuit filed by the director. The music video is mine now. The conflict has certainly affected the exposure of the video, but now everybody will be able to see it,” the Lebanese singer explains.
Najwa is currently planning to shoot a new music video, but has not chosen the director to work with yet. As she points out, “I'm still looking for a director that can provide the appropriate atmosphere for the video, to make something that adds to my image, and not vice-versa.”
Najwa Sultan also revealed that she received an offer to work for cinema during the Dubai Film Festival. She explained to Arabstoday “I met with a number of Arab actors, directors and producers and received offers to visit Egypt and take part in a couple of movies. I am still evaluating the offer.”
Najwa expressed her wish to work in the Lebanese cinema as well, particularly with director Nadine Labaki.
Miss Sultan declared that she is about to "wrap up" her new album, "which I have produced myself. It includes nine songs in Egyptian, Lebanese and Gulf accents.”
