Egyptian actress Nahla Zaki
Cairo – Taha Hafiz
Egyptian actress Nahla Zaki believes her new film “Mohema fe Film Adim” (A Mission in an Old Film), released during Eid al-Adha, will be an important milestone in her career.
And she couldn't have completed the project without help of the major
stars from “Keid el Nesaa” (Women’s intrigue).
Nahla told Arabstoday that for the first time she plays a popular girl and “Sharnoubi” (played by Edward) falls in love with her.
She said she plays the same role played by al-Shahroura in one of her old movies.
Nahla considers her new film a shift in her career because it is a different character compared to the nice roles she has taken on before. She is happy to be working with Fifi Abdu after again after the series “Keid el Nesaa”, shown last Ramadan.
When director Ahmed el-Badry nominated her for her part in the second season, she read the script and liked it, especially because this was a new character in a main role.
She believes her character “Juliana” was well received by the audience and that working with major stars like Nabila Ebeid and Fifi Abdu has taught her a lot.
Nahla did not expect to receive the support and advice she was given, especially from the star Ahmed Bedeir, who is “a comedy genius” in the Arab nation. She is grateful for his guidance.
Despite her success and enjoyment of working in TV for the first time she said she will focus on Cinema in the future.
Nahla started her career as a model after she won the “Miss Beach” title before moving into cinema, acting in several films including “Omar wa Salma”, “Bon soiree” and “El Beh Romancy”.
