Jannat Mahid’s new album is out May 8
Moroccan singer Jannat Mahid is finally returning to the music scene after a three-year long hiatus.
The songstress is set to release a new track in time for summer, much to her fans delight. Her lastest song, Hubb
Jamid (Stong Love) proved the star still has it, with the single already being played on radio stations across the Arab World.
Jannat’s new musical offering is expected to be released on Wednesday and will feature 13 news songs.
Entertainment website Al Bawaba reports that the journey back to the music business has been a bit bumpy for Jannat – there have been issues with securing all the necessary permits for the distribution of the music across the Middle East. But fans should fear not, her album will be reach all Arab countries.
The Moroccan singer has announced that she will be filming a music video to accompany a single from the new album- which is yet to be decided. Jannat has said that she wants to wait and see which track receives the best reception before choosing.
Hubb Jamid has been tipped as the favourite, after being downloaded more than 100,000 times within hours of being uploaded.
