Arab Idol contestant embrace as they learn who has been eliminated
A large number of fans of the televised singing contest, Arab Idol, have expressed their anger over the newly adopted approach to voting on Thursday’s episode.
The previous system saw the weakest contestant being voted off in the last five minutes of the show. On Thursday’s episode, however, the process was changed, leaving
the vote open until next Friday.
Many viewers are outraged by the change, claiming that it is an unacceptable manipulation of the votes.
Arab Idol has yet to address the controversy. The final episode is expected to air on Friday. Three contestants remain in the running to win the title, including; Moroccan Mohammad Rifi, Libyan Ibrahim Abdelatheem and Adham Naboulsi from Jordan.
